Whether you’re just getting started with birding, looking to improve your skills, or thinking about joining the Eagle Point Bird Count, this evening is for you! Led by our very own professional bird nerds, Kathy and Rita, this fun and educational event is open EVERYONE.

Here’s what’s happening:
7:00–7:10 PM – Welcome + Bird ID Basics
Learn the basics of how to identify birds—great for beginners or anyone needing a refresher.
7:15–7:35 PM – How to Record Bird Sightings
Get tips on using apps and checklists to track your sightings like a pro.
7:35–7:55 PM – Binoculars & Spotting Scopes
Find out how to choose and use the right gear for birdwatching success.
8:00–9:00 PM – Evening Bird Walk
Head outside for a guided walk with Kathy and Rita—bring your binoculars if you have them!
9:00–9:30 PM – Bird Trivia
Test your knowledge and have some fun before you head home.
Kids Activities (7:00–8:00 PM)
Kids will enjoy the show and tell birds nests, eggs and feather as well as some birdy activities!
Bird-Themed Snacks will be available!
This is a great chance to connect with other nature lovers, learn from experienced birders, and enjoy an evening outdoors. Come for the learning, stay for the fun—and bring the whole family!
