Volunteers Help Make Our Programs A Success!

The Parks Council delivers a variety of outdoor, community-based programming each year. We are continually looking for active individuals to lend their support in making these programs a success. As a volunteer, you can share your ideas, knowledge, talent, and skills with the Parks Council and build a legacy for Canada’s natural and historic treasures! Get behind the scenes, learn something new and make a difference. There are lots of ways you can be a part of the action, whether it’s just for an afternoon or weekend, all help is greatly appreciated.

Here are just a few things to get you active and outdoors enjoying nature:

  • Parks Watch:
Taking care of our land, trails, and facilities by joining a shoreline clean-up, a trail rehabilitation effort, or reporting an issue that needs attention
  • Citizen Science:
Studying, restoring and conserving our landscape and heritage; participate in, plant inventories, butterfly counts, frog monitoring, species at risk monitoring
